Maryland Insurance Administration Issues Bulletin on Renewal of Cancelled Health Plans

This week, The Maryland Insurance Administration issued a bulletin (13-30) entitled Renewal of Health Benefits Plans That Do Not Comply with Certain Affordable Care Act (ACA) Requirements. The bulletin was released in response to the President’s offer to allow consumers to renew their current non-grandfathered, non-ACA-compliant plans for one year.
